Thursday, December 19, 2002 Bisys Eyes Principal Protected Funds Opp Bisys is now touting its ability to support principal protection funds. The back-office firm said it has expanded its capabilities in the area to ease fund firm's entry into the now popular market niche. Bisys claims the segment now holds more than $5 billion in fund assets. Bill Tomko, president of Bisys' Investment Services group, said that the new solution for principal protection funds will both support investor requirements in the current economic environment and provide a growth opportunity for Bisys as principal protection funds gain momentum. The firm plans to offer both back-office support for the product and strategic support through its Financial Research Corp arm.
