Thursday, January 16, 2003 Atlanta Office Adds Two Affluent Sales VPs Neuberger Berman has added a pair of regional vice presidents to focus on affluent customers in the southeast. The new hires come from Bessemer Trust and report to Heidi L. Steiger, executive vice president and head of Private Asset Management. "We believe the time is right to expand Neuberger Berman's presence in this important marketplace," said Steiger. The new hires -- William I. Rau and J. Darren Wilcox -- will each serve clients in Neuberger Berman's Private Asset Group located in Georgia and other Southeastern states. They will market the firm's services to high net worth individuals, trusts, foundations, and family offices in the region. Rau joins Neuberger Berman is a 30-year veteran of the industry and was most recently a principal at Bessemer Trust responsible for business development. Prior to that, he worked at GMA Partners and Bank of America. Wilcox was a vice president of Business Development at Bessemer and has held positions at Southern Company Energy Marketing, Louis Dreyfus and Goldman Sachs.
