Monday, February 10, 2003 Dokken Gets Planning Role at Pru Wade Dokken, president and CEO of American Skandia until Prudential's purchase of the unit, now knows his new job and title. Dokken will oversee strategy at Prudential's new Insurance Division's Office of Strategic Planning. Part of his responsibilities will be to oversee the unit's third-party distribution strategies. Dokken will report to Vivian Banta, vice chairman of Prudential Financial and head of the company's Insurance Division. Meanwhile, David Odenath, president of Pru's annuity business, is taking over as president of the new annuities group that is currently being formed within the Insurance Division. "Dave knows Prudential and what it will take to integrate the best of what both companies bring to the marketplace and to the independent investment professional," said Banta in a statement outlining the moves. "Wade's creativity and proven track record in building distribution strength will help Prudential serve the needs of both the investment professional and investor in the United States.
