Monday, February 17, 2003 Donaldson Set to Take Oath William Donaldson is set to be sworn in Tuesday morning as the new chairman of the SEC. The ceremony will take place at the White House. The Senate approved Donaldson's appointment nearly two weeks ago after a routine nomination hearing. The White House set the timing of the ceremony on Saturday. Harvey Pitt, the outgoing chairman, sent a farewell email to SEC staffers on Friday. The departure was low profile. Typically, departing officials are sent off with a party at the commission's office. This time, Pitt was treated to a private party at a Washington, DC restaurant instead. Missing from the Wednesday night send off were both Democrats on the commission (Harvey Goldschmid and Roel Campos). Printed from: MFWire.com/story.asp?s=4568 Copyright 2003, InvestmentWires, Inc.
