Morgan Blackrock [profile] is making some changes to its fixed-income group, leading a new wonk to take the reins of its global interest rate analysis team. BlackRock chose Pavan Wadhwa, a former head of U.S. dollar interest rate strategy at J.P. Morgan Chase, to lead the team, Bloomberg's Alexis Leondis reports. As a managing director and the unit's head of rates strategy, he will report to Bob Miller, head of the multi sector retail and rates team and a PM on Strategic Income Opportunities Fund, Leondis writes. University of Texas-educated Wadhwa is returning home so to speak, as he began his career at BlackRock in 1995, where he was an associate in its financial modeling group, Leondis writes.
