Monday, March 3, 2003 T. Rowe Nominates Director Baltimore-based T. Rowe Price has nominated James T. Brady for election to its board. The board seat opened when Martin G. Wade retired from the fund firm last December 31. News of the nomination came in a filing with the SEC. Shareholders will vote on the board at the firm's annual meeting on April 14. By nominating Brady, the firm is creating an additional independent director seat on its 14-member board. Brady serves on the boards of Aether Systems Inc., Allfirst Financial, Constellation Energy Group and McCormick & Co., according to the filing. As a T. Rowe Price employee, Wade was not an independent director. He was chairman of T. Rowe Price International and a director since 2000.
