CheckFree Investment Services provides outsourced trading and portfolio management services to broker-dealers and money managers in separately managed accounts (SMA). Placemark Investments is an investment management and technology firm dedicated to delivering customized, tax optimized separate account solutions to advisors and their clients. Placemark works with program sponsors to create and run personalized, tax managed separate account and multi-style portfolio products. Sponsors select the money managers who work with Placemark and chose the style and asset class diversification of each MSP. Placemark integrates the input of multiple investment managers with a specific client tax profile to arrive at a customized and tax efficient solution. Placemark's services allow program sponsors to use CheckFree APL's MSP functionality for current custodial and trading relationships, accounting systems, and client servicing infrastructure.
