Monday, April 21, 2003 Bank Channel Sales Remain Strong Mutual fund sales through banks were up in February, reports Kenneth Kehrer Associates. The Princeton, New Jersey-based researcher specializing on the banking industry reports that average daily sales of bank funds were up twenty percent from January levels. Banks sold $2.3 billion of funds in February, or two percent less than in total than in January. The decrease was an artifact of February being a short month with four fewer days available for sales. Still, bank channel sales remained far below January 2002 figures when they hit $3 billion. Printed from: MFWire.com/story.asp?s=4996 Copyright 2003, InvestmentWires, Inc. All Rights Reserved |
