Tuesday, May 13, 2003 Bond Chief Returns to SSRM Mark Marinella has signed on for a second go around as chief investment officer of fixed income at Boston's State Street Research & Management Company (SSRM). His formal start date will be May 21, according to the investment manager. Marinella will report to CEO Richard S. Davis and oversee a bond team of 35 portfolio managers, analysts and traders. The forty-four-year-old stepped down as co-CIO for fixed income at State Street Research in 2002 to become Boston-based Columbia Management Group's CIO and head of fixed income. Columbia is the asset management arm of FleetBoston bank. He had joined State Street in 1998 from STW Fixed Income Management Ltd. in Bermuda.
