Analytics Firm Adds Marketing Services


Ibbotson is planning to leverage the skills it has built internally to help financial services firms with their marketing. To put the plan into action, the Chicago-based firm has formed a marketing services group named Agency Ibbotson.

Agency Ibbotson plans to provide marketing assistance, including custom marketing materials, educational programs and research. It will also offer consulting on the NASD review process for all marketing collateral, according to Edward Lopez, manager of Agency Ibbotson.

Lopez added that the unit is a response to the complexity of current products and the demand for alternative investments. Those products are creating more demand for specialized and detailed marketing collateral and educational materials, he said.

"Ibbotson has a tremendous wealth of research and experience to call upon to create targeted, high-impact marketing and educational materials. Our consultants will work with a company's marketing and sales groups to create anything from a single custom presentation to a multi-tiered marketing campaign," stated Lopez.
