Monday, September 22, 2003 SSRM Names Distribution Chief Kevin N. Wilkins is taking over responsibility for all distribution at State Street Research & Management Company. The Boston-based investment unit of MetLife said that Wilkins will head distribution and lead its sales marketing and client service efforts across the institutional and retail businesses. Wilkins joined State Street Research from Fidelity Investments in 1997. He reports to Richard S. Davis, president and chief executive officer. "This structure will enable us to take a more strategic approach to distributing our equity and fixed income products and capabilities across all markets," said Davis. "Kevin's leadership will help us leverage our capabilities, resources and best practices across both areas of our business as we look to grow our institutional client base, as well as our shareholder base in the State Street Research Funds." Wilkins had been head of retail distribution and corporate marketing and planning for the firm responsible for all marketing, sales, communications, operations management and service delivery.
