Thursday, July 25, 2019 As One DWS MD Moves, Another Steps Up Luke Oliver has been recently promoted to managing director, head of index investing, Americas at DWS. Oliver's role change comes as managing director Fiona Bassett moves back to the UK. With this move, Bassett will no longer function as global co-head of product, global co-head of passive, the two co-head positions she's held since starting at DWS in March 2018. She will now work for DWS' global COO, Mark Cullen .
"Luke has been with us for a long time as the head of capital market, everybody knows him and everybody loves him," Poltavets tells MFWire. "We felt like he’s the right person to step into this position."
Bassett’s work history also includes time at Deutsche Bank. Bassett served as managing director, COO global key projects and integration, Deutsche asset and wealth management in London and head of passive asset management Americas, Deutsche asset management in New York City.
