Wednesday, February 23, 2022 From SEC Chief to Two-Time NFL Investigator A former top cop on Wall Street is officially investigating sexual harassment allegations for the National Football League, again.
White, a former U.S. attorney, served as SEC chair from 2013 to 2017, under then-President Obama. (Among other things, her tenure included the finalization of some post-financial crisis money market fund reform regs.) She then returned to Debevoise & Plimpton LLP, where she remains today as a partner. White is no stranger to the NFL or to such investigations. In 2018, she spearheaded an investigation into workplace misconduct (including sexual harassment) allegations against a now-former owner of another NFL team.
