Thursday, April 8, 2004 Janus' CEO Gets $3.3 Million Bonus Mark Whiston, CEO of Janus, was paid a salary of $600,000 and a $3.39 million bonus in 2003, the company disclosed Thursday in a SEC filing. Lars O. Soderberg, formerly the company’s Executive Vice President and Managing Director of Institutional Services, received close to $1.8 million as a bonus and $150,000 for a salary. The company announced that Soderberg was on leave on April 5th, and that it would "evaluate Soderberg's future role with the company, in light of the ongoing investigations of the mutual fund industry and related regulatory matters."
