Friday, July 16, 2004 Riggs - PNC Deal is No News for Funds PNC Financial Services Group will acquire Pittsburgh-based Riggs National Corp for $779 million. The deal does not affect Riggs fund group, because the bank sold its eight fund family to Federated Investors in July of 2003. At that time, the funds had $465 million in assets.
