WisdomTree has halved its quarterly loss, and its chief says its "generating positive cash-flow." According to the first quarter earnings report the New York-based fundamental indexer
revealed Friday, WisdomTree lost $0.03 per share in Q1 2010, down from $0.06 in Q1 2009 and $0.05 in Q4 2009.
"WisdomTree garnered more than seven percent of the ETF industry market share in the first quarter," stated
Jonathan Steinberg, CEO. "We are off to a strong start in the second quarter with an impressive $423 million in net inflows already captured as of April 29, 2010. On the back of the this progress, the company has further strengthened its financial position and is now generating positive cash-flow."
WisdomTree's AUM climbed 11 percent in Q1 2010 to $7.4 billion, thanks in part to $582 million in net flows into its ETFs.
