Rydex Investments has paired with Jefferson National Life Insurance Company to serve as the money manager for three of the insurer's variable annuity accounts. The Rockville, Maryland-based fund firm will manage assets for three products recently added to the Jefferson National Monument Advisor product.

Rydex already offers 47 funds through the Monument Advisor' product line. The three new additions are the Rydex Commodities Fund, Rydex Strengthening Dollar Fund and Rydex Weakening Dollar Fund.

Monument Advisor is a VA product designed for fee-only advisors that carries a flat insurance fee of $240. The insurer offers more than 120 funds through the annuity, according to Patrick D. Ferrer, national sales director at Dallas-based Jefferson National. 

Correction: A previous version of the story incorrectly stated Rydex offers 48 funds through the Monument Advisor' product line, instead of 47. Rydex is the money manager to the new products, not the subadvisor, as written earlier.
