Wells Fargo Launches Podcast Feature

8Do busy advisors know what a "podcast" is? Wells Far9go is hoping that they do. The bank is now featuring the IPod inspired audio shows on its website for investment professionals.

Brian Melter, vice president of E-Business for Wells Fargo Funds, said its sales managers responded to a demand from financial advisors who own iPods and could listen to the podcasts as they commute to work and to meetings with clients.

Advisors on the go need only visit its Advamtage Funds website to download a mutual fund "PodPack" containing an audio file of portfolio manager commentary and additional information, such as fund fact sheets and prospectuses.

After signing up for free PodPacks, advisors can receive automatic updates on economic, market and fund-specific commentary through Apple's iTunes 6.0 or a compatible podcast application.

The debut PodPack featured portfolio managers of Wells Fargo Advantage C&B Large Cap Value Fund covering market news and their outlook for the fund.
