As reported last week by the
MFWire, newly launched ETF specialist
WisdomTree Investments has been building its staff with significant imports from several top firms.
On Monday, the company
released a list of eight national sales executives and named
Todd Westby, formerly of
Barclays Global Investors, its director of national accounts.
Westby helped with the rollout of
iShares at Barclays, the announcement noted, focusing on distribution networks and business strategy. He earlier served as vice president and regional sales manager at
Nuveen & Co..
"His experience will contribute to our effort to become a major player in the ETF market," said
Jonathan Steinberg, WisdomTree CEO, of Westby, who will be targeting full-service broker dealers, fee-based RIAs, and institutional investors.
WisdomTree's other new sales execs are divvied up according to distribution channel. Going after the RIAs will be:
Will Abbott, formerly of
Charles Schwab, in the midwest;
Morgan Lee, formerly of
BGI iShares, in the west; and
Christopher Murray, also from
Charles Schwab, in the east.
The wirehouse-focused team will include:
Dan Doischen, from
ProFunds, in the mid-atlantic and south;
Rocco Fiordelisi, from
Wachovia, in the midwest;
Chad Brown, from
Lockwood Advisors, as regional associate;
Brandon Moore, from
UBS, as regional associate; and
