Whether or not it is heeding the calls of activists who want it to divest from Darfur, Fidelity has made another reduction in its PetroChina holdings. (Fidelity has insisted that its earlier move was unrelated to activist demands).
Dow Jones Newswires reports that at the end of the second quarter, Fidelity held 1,169 PetroChina American depository receipts valued at $174,000. That's down from 420,916 ADSs valued at $49.3 million at the close of the first quarter. At the end of 2006, Fidelity invested $633.5 million in PetroChina stock.
