Asset Manager Stock Performance Tied to Overall Marketplace

Investment company stocks are tied to market performance perhaps more so than any other stock out there. The Boston Globe makes an example out of the slide of Affiliated Managers Group Inc.'s stock. The paper cites one of AMG's 25 portfolio firms for the recent falling stock price, quantitative hedge fund operator AQR Capital Management.
