There will soon be new guidance coming from the SEC on soft dollars, Investment News reports. Speaking at a Washington conference sponsored by the American Law Institute-American Bar Association of Philadelphia, Jennifer McHugh, senior advisor to the SEC's investment management division, said that the commission was working on an interpretive release on the subject. The release will include guidance for fund directors on how to best execute their oversight on fund trades.
