Federated Investors is getting plaudits from Merrill Lynch analysts. Reuters reports that Merrill analysts have chosen the Pittsburgh firm as the top asset manager. In their report, analysts wrote that the company is in a good position because it has no remaining SIV issues in its money-market funds unlike many of its competitors.
