Van Eck Global last month bid farewell to its home of nearly 15 years and moved into its new headquarters on 335 Madison Avenue in New York City.

"We needed more space to accommodate current staff and to prepare for additional growth," Harvey Hirsch, senior vice president of marketing, told The MFWire.

Van Eck, which had $7 billion in AUM as of end-October, was previously housed at 99 Park Avenue, around five minutes away from its new location.

"Over the years we had expanded the amount of space we were using in the building," Hirsch said.

Van Eck employees' first day of work in the new location was November 10.
