Fundsters who haven't yet heard about the layoffs at Putnam can turn to the Wall Street Journal's Thursday "Fund Track" column. The MFWire first broke news of the cuts last week, and on Wednesday the wider media caught on as Putnam confirmed the move (see MFWire, 2/6/2009 and 2/11/2009). Now the WSJ's Jennifer Levitz provides her own take on the 260 jobs the Power Financial subsidiary will eliminate on Thursday.
