DST Systems is rolling out its upgraded Vision for financial advisors interested in 529 plans, a spokesperson with the firm told the MutualFundWire.com. The system is currently available.

"We highlight the basic information on all of the state plans," the spokesperson reported. "For approximately 50% of the state 529 plans, we have a much more detailed, interactive system." These will be available through the 529 Plan Resource Center.

With those states, the financial advisor will have the ability to retrieve a client's 529 account in real time. The portal also provides consolidated access.

DST has relationships with such firms as Alliance Capital, American Funds, AIM, and MFS Investment Management.
