Alice T. Kane, now a a consultant for investment banker Blaylock & Partners and former the chairman and president of three mutual fund and variable annuity businesses within American International Group, has joined the board of Global Crossing. Her appointment was announced by Gary Winnick, chairman of Global Crossing.
She will chair Global Crossing's compensation committee and also serve as a member of the audit committee and special independent committee. The company also announced that Secretary William S. Cohen has resigned his board position due to "personal time constraints." Cohen is former Secretary of Defense under President Clinton.
