Delaware Investments has hired
Dina M. Welch as vice president and portfolio manager and
Scott E. Decatur as vice president and senior equity analyst. Welch will be in charge of managing insurance assets in the firm's fixed income department and Decatur will be responsible for quantitative research in the firm's structured products division.
Welch's past experience includes being the assistant vice president and portfolio manager at Provident Mutual Life Insurance Company. Prior to that, she was vice president and senior portfolio manager in the fixed income department of Sigma Asset Management.
Decatur was a quantitative investment professional with Grantham, Mayo, Van Otterloo & Co., Berkeley, CA and Boston, MA. There he was responsible for researching and developing quantitative equity investment strategies for an institutional portfolio management company.
Prior to this position, Decatur was a senior consultant with KPMG Peat Marwick LLP, Radnor, PA, acting as an adviser to the Electronic Commerce practice in cryptography and computer security.
