Aid Association for Lutherans has changed its named to Thrivent Financial Bank for Lutherans, as of July 1, 2002. The name change was a result of the merger between AAL and The Lutheran Brotherhood. AAL is in the process of securing the final federal and state approvals and has already received approval from the state of Wisconsin.
