Webb Capital Management and
Steinberg Priest & Sloane Capital Management have both won sub-advisory mandates with Toronto, Canada-based
CI Mutual Funds.
Webb Capital is taking over as the sub-adviser of the CI Tactonics Fund and its retirement savings plan (RSP) equivalent, according to the firm. Derek Webb, president and chief executive of Webb Capital, is acting as the lead portfolio manager for the fund.
Meanwhile, Steinberg Priest is taking over the portfolio duties of four CI funds. The mandate adds roughly $140 million to the assets that Steinberg Priest sub-advises for CI. The manager already is the sub-advisor to three CI funds. Its total mandate will now be $198 million based on the new awards.
The funds being advised by Steinberg Priest are: Signature American Small Companies, Signature Global Small Companies, Spectrum Global Growth Fund, and Spectrum Optimax USA Fund.
