For fundsters interested in Baron Capital CEO Ron Baron's views, there's a recently published interview with Steve Forbes that worth a look.

Aside from discussing the economy and his small-cap picks, Baron also talked about his own firm.

The billionaire investor mentioned that his New York City-based company currently has 104 people, 28 of whom are on the investing team. The firm had 60 employees five years ago.

"We've added eight people a year on average. But it's not just investors. It's compliance, it's legal, it's accounting, it's marketing, it's sales, it's infrastructure. It's IT."
