A California RIA Climbs into the Fund Business

A California RIA just entered the mutual fund business. Today Calabasas-based Rocky Peak Capital Management unveiled its first '40 Act fund, the Rocky Peak Small Cap Value Fund. The fund launched on April 2, 2012.

Winning mandates for the new fund are: Premier Fund Solutions, serving as the fund's administrator; Mutual Shareholder Services as the fund accountant and transfer agent; Rafferty Capital Markets as distributor; and U.S. Bank as custodian.

CALABASAS, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 04/30/12 -- Rocky Peak Capital Management, LLC ("Rocky Peak Capital Management") announced that it launched its first mutual fund, the Rocky Peak Small Cap Value Fund (RPCSX) ("the Fund"). Rocky Peak Capital Management commenced sole investment advisory responsibility and full operations of the Fund on April 2, 2012. The Portfolio Manager of the Fund will be Tom Kerr, CFA, an experienced investment professional who has successfully managed research-driven, small capitalization, value-based strategies for more than 15 years. Rocky Peak Capital Management opened in December 2011 and was founded by Mr. Kerr who was formerly a principal and portfolio manager at RCB Investments, a Los Angeles-based investment manager that he joined in 1994.

"The Fund utilizes a research-driven, value-oriented approach and will focus on stocks with a market capitalization of under $3 billion," said Kerr. "We feel the best way to achieve superior investment returns is to have a long-term time horizon and invest in a focused number of undervalued companies. We welcome new investors who want to partner with us."

Premier Fund Solutions, Inc. serves as the Fund's administrator, Mutual Shareholder Services, LLC serves as the fund accountant and transfer agent, with Rafferty Capital Markets, LLC serving as distributor, and custody through U.S. Bank.
