Abigail
Johnson showed her whimsical side during the New England
Council-sponsored dinner,
reports
Reuters.
Her speech at the event was her first public appearance since she was tapped by her father in August to run the company's core businesses.
In her speech, Johnson said she was "raised to believe that New England is the best
place on the planet," according to the
Boston Globe.
She also talked about New England having the "best plants, the best grass ... and all the good stuff."
She added that New Hampshire fixed-income operations are often visited by powerful Wall Street firms as well as bears, those with four legs, who "nibble on goodies in the woods."
