U.S. Chamber of Commerce's Center for Capital Market Competitiveness (CCMC) has announced that it will host a roundtable discussion on the future of money funds next Tuesday in Washington, D.C.
Speakers will include former SEC commissioner
Paul Atkins,
Paul Schott Stevens of the
ICI,
Fidelity money market fund president
Nancy Prior, and several legal, regulatory, and accounting experts.
The discussion, entitled "the Future of Money Market Mutual Fund Regulation," will encompass the 2008 crisis, the impact of the 2010 regulations, and the potential effect of proposed reforms.
