The investment team at
Lockwell Investments, specialists in small and mid-value cap portfolios, is joining up with a larger firm, according to Lockwell's head
Richard Glass.
The merger is expected to take place within a month. Glass declined to say which larger firm his team was joining.
As a result of the merger though, Lockwell will cease to exist. According to an
SEC filing, shop's sole mutual fund, the
Lockwell Small Cap Value Fund (LOCSX), will also be terminated.
Glass is a veteran of the small and mid-cap space, having served for ten years as a managing director at
Morgan Stanley, and also serving as a senior analyst for three years at
Neuberger Bergman.
Glass will make the announcement regarding the larger firm he is joining in a month.
