The
American Federation of Teacher's
list of asset managers who fight against pensions has claimed a casualty:
Rex Sinquefield, formerly a board member at
Dimensional Fund Advisors [
profile].
DFA was on the list, and Sinquefield was cited as a reason why. He created the Show-Me Institute, a conservative Think Tank in St. Louis, according to
St. Louis Post-Dispatch writer Jim Gallagher.
He decided to step down in order to ensure that his personal opinions were not confused with Dimensional policy. It was his decision to avoid any kind of misunderstanding,” a spokeswoman said in an e-mail, according to Gallagher.
