Laguna Boutique Brings in a High Net Worth Guru

An asset manager is showing some love to the high net worth crowd with a new hire.

AFAM has hired Chris Creed to serve as vice president, Business Development for the company’s Private Client Group. In this role, he will focus on expanding AFAM’s commitment to providing investment solutions for high net worth investors with private client managed accounts.

“Chris’s proven ability to develop strong client relationships will enable us to facilitate and manage the growth we have experienced in recent years in the high net worth arena,” stated Jeff Montgomery, chief executive officer of AFAM Capital. “Our existing Private Client Group investors will continue to receive the undivided attention of AFAM’s portfolio managers, while Chris works with prospective clients to assess whether our unique investment strategies are a good fit for their financial goals.”

Before joining AFAM, Creed was with Fisher Investments, where he was Regional Vice President for Louisiana and Mississippi. Until 2006, he was the owner of an independent wealth management practice, Creed Capital Management, through Wachovia Securities Financial Network.

19-Year Industry Veteran and Certified Financial Planner Will Expand Firm’s Private Client Group Initiatives



AFAM Capital, one of the top U.S. asset management boutiques providing specialty investment solutions to financial advisors and private clients, is pleased to announce the appointment of Chris Creed, CFP®, as Vice President, Business Development for the company’s Private Client Group. In this role, Mr. Creed will focus on expanding AFAM’s commitment to providing investment solutions for high net worth investors with private client managed accounts.

  A Certified Financial Planner since 2002, Mr. Creed has 19 years of experience in the financial services industry. Before joining AFAM, he was with Fisher Investments PCG, where he was Regional Vice President for Louisiana and Mississippi. Until 2006, he was the owner of an independent wealth management practice, Creed Capital Management, through Wachovia Securities Financial Network. From 1994 to 2003, Mr. Creed was an investment representative with Edward Jones. He holds a B.A. in Marketing from Southeastern Louisiana University.
