USA Today reporter John Spence echoed
BlackRock's [
profile] line that ETFs are the true market and quoted Mark Weidman, global head of
iShares ETFs at
BlackRock.
Spence went on to say that investors shouldn't attempted to trade ETFs during the day simply because they can, as retail investors have a bad track record of timing the market well.
He reminds investors that bond ETFs are great investments but they move faster than the markets they track, so investors that use ETFs indexed to illiquid bonds in volatile times should be aware of that before trying to sell off too quickly.
