Oracle of the bond fund future,
Pimco [
profile] CEO
Bill Gross, has changed his
predictions for when the Fed tapering will begin from later this year to 2016 at the earliest, the
WSJ's Garfield Reynolds reported.
Reynolds writes that it's a fair assessment to make, given the fact that Fed Chairman
Ben Bernanke said September was "way too early to make any judgement" about beginning tapering in September. The statement had a real affect on markets, giving Treasuries their biggest two-week gain in almost a year, Reynolds writes.
Gross' optimism is timely, but is 2016 too optimistic? Only time will tell.
