Western Asset Funds has filed amendments to its Western Asset Short Term Yield Fund. The legend on the cover of the fund's prospectus and the section of its prospectus “Principal investment strategies” have been changed. In the statement of additional information, the sections titled “INVESTMENT OBJECTIVE AND PRINCIPAL INVESTMENT STRATEGIES – Principal Investment Strategies and Certain Limitations” and “INVESTMENT POLICIES – Fundamental Investment Policies” have been changed.
