Mohamed El-Erian, advises investors not to wait until fall to reposition their investment portfolios, despite conventional wisdom,
MarketWatch's William Watts writes. Markets are likely to turn volatile sooner than later, El-Erian cautions, as major national and international events perpetuate concern over the markets, Watts writes.
El-Erian summarized all of the foreboding events that will cast a shadow on the markets in a recent Financial Times column, noting the Fed's upcoming September policy decision to cut, or not to cut, back on asset purchases, the decision on a new Fed chairman appointment, the battle to avoid government default and volatility in the Japanese yen, Watts reports.
