Columnist Chuck Jaffe is at it again, having hilarious fun regarding the stupid and absurd in the fund industry in two articles.
In the first
article, he asks "When is the last time a ridiculous, silly or stupid investment premise actually became a successful mutual fund?"
He answers his own question, of course: "If you can’t answer that question, then whatever absurd, nonsensical idea you can put on registration papers could be viewed as the world’s next great fund."
Jaffe then ups the hilarity with an
article declaring that his cat is a better stock picker than your ETF. (The story as it appears on the
MarketWatch website has an adorable photo of a bling-ed out executive cat. Very cute.)
Read the articles at your own peril. You will laugh, cry, and then laugh again. Go Jaffe.
