U.S. Olympic gold medalist Ted Ligety, a skier who won the alpine skiing combined during the 2006 Winter Olympics in Torino, has headed off to Sochi, Russia to prepare training for the 2014 WInter Olympics. The skier, also known as Ligety Split, is sponsored by Putnam. Bob Reynolds hosted a rally to see Liegty off.
