Call it the smarter beta.

AQR has launched a new alt fund dubbed the AQR Premia Alternative Fund (QSPIX), which will "will use a long/short strategy to attempt to isolate specific factors in stocks, bonds, commodities and currencies," according to Jason Kephart of InvestmentNews.

Kephart quotes Morningstar director of alternative fund research Nadia Papagiannis talking about they strategy declaring “It's almost like a smarter smart beta.”
