Timothy Spangler has been named a partner and practice group leader for investment funds by the law firm Sidley Austin.

The legal eagle, who was previously partner and chair of the investment funds group at Kaye Scholer, will work out of Sidley's Los Angeles, New York, and London offices.

For '40 Act clients, his services include, but are not limited to, advising fund sponsors and promoters with respect to their internal partnerships, co-investment arrangements and personal investments.

Spangler has served stints at a number of other law firms, Berwin Leighton Pasiner, Latham & Watkins, Clifford Change< and Rogers & Wells.
