So, what do people want to do with ETFs nowadays?
A distinguished panel of four investing bigwigs participated in
Barron's Roundtable on the subject.
The experts included Peter Rukeyser, managing director at UBS Private Wealth Management in New York; Ronald Stenger, executive director of the Stenger Group at Morgan Stanley in Oak Brook, Ill.; Rod Smyth, chief investment strategist at RiverFront Investment Group in Richmond, Va., and Andrew Gogerty, who runs ETF managed portfolio research at Morningstar.
Among the topics discussed were whether ETFS can be used to generated alpha and the kinds of portfolios in which they can fit.
