An ETF trade association has called it quits.

The National Exchange Traded Funds Association has gone defunct, reports Brendan Conway of Barron's.

Conway quotes the vice chairman of the group, IndexIQ chief executive Adam Patti, as saying that the organization was "shelved" as a result of a "lack of demand."
