Which ETFers are the fairest of them all?
| Matthew Hougan ETF.com Chief Executive Officer | |
Matt Hougan and his team over at
ETF.com have
opened up nominations for the 2015 "ETF.com Awards." Nominations opened on December 1 and will close on New Year's Eve.
How, you ask, do you or your favorite ETFers win? It's a three-step process. First, the trade publication gathers nominations from the industry. Second, in the first week of 2016
ETF.com's own nominating committee reviews the nominations and picks up to five finalists in each category (potentially more if there are ties that can't be broken). Then third, the selection committee of industry insiders will vote on the finalists. The winners will be revealed and honored at
ETF.com's big awards dinner on March 17, 2016, which is
returning to Chelsea Piers.
There are 30 categories covering many different types of players in the industry. The categories are: "Lifetime Achievement Award"; "ETF of the Year"; "Best New ETF"; "Most Innovative New ETF"; "Best New U.S. Equity ETF"; "Best New International/Global Equity ETF"; "Best New U.S. Fixed-Income ETF"; "Best New International/Global Fixed-Income ETF"; "Best New Commodity ETF"; "Best New Currency ETF"; "Best New Alternatives ETF"; "Best New Asset Allocation ETF"; "Best New Smart-Beta or Factor ETF"; "ETF Issuer of the Year"; "Most Innovative ETF Issuer of the Year"; "New ETF Issuer of the Year"; "Index Provider of the Year"; "Index of the Year"; "ETF Liquidity Provider of the Year"; "Best Online Broker for ETF-Focused Investors"; "Best ETF Offering: Wirehouse Category"; "Best ETF Offering: Independent Broker-Dealer Category"; "Best ETF Research Paper"; "Best ETF Issuer Website"; "Best Index Provider Website"; "Best ETF Issuer Capital Markets Desk"; "ETF Strategist of the Year"; "New ETF Ticker of the Year"; "ETF Advisor of the Year"; and "Institutional ETF User of the Year."
