One of Peter Lynch's former proteges just gained some ink in the Boston Globe.

Karen Firestone Aureus Asset Management Chairman, Chief Executive Officer

The paper profiles Karen Firestone, co-founder of Boston-based RIA Aureus Asset Management. Aureus focuses on managing money for high net worth families and has $1.4 billion in AUM.

Firestone joined Fidelity in 1983, as an assistant PM under Lynch. She rose to full PM in 1997 and took over the Fidelity Destiny I Fund in 2000. She left Fido in 2005 and co-founded Aureus with David Scudder, a former Wellington Management Company partner.
