Denver, Colorado-based Janus Capital [
profile] has named two of its assistant portfolio managers to co-portfolio managers, effective July 1.
Cody Wheaton and
Scott Stutzman were named co-portfolio managers of two separate funds in the equities group.
Wheaton was promoted to co-portfolio manager of the
Janus Enterprise Fund as well as the associated mid-cap growth strategy. Wheaton has worked alongside lead portfolio manager
Brian Demain on the investment management firm's mid cap growth strategy for a decade plus.
Stutzman was promoted to co-portfolio manager of the
Janus Venture Fund and
Janus Triton Fund, as well as the associated small company and small-mid cap growth strategies. Stutzman has worked alongside
Jonathan Coleman, lead portfolio manager on both the Venture and Triton funds, for nearly a decade.
Wheaton has spent the past 15 years of his career with Janus, most recently as an assistant portfolio manager on the Janus Mid Cap Growth Strategy. Additionally he has served as equity research analyst focused mostly on small and mid-cap stocks in the financial and consumer space.
Stutzman has spent nearly a decade at Janus, most recently as assistant portfolio manager. He joined the firm as a research analyst and has covered small and mid-cap companies across the industrials, healthcare and consumer segments.
